Microsoft has something called an ISA Server

What does ISA stand for? I’m pretty sure it’s Incredibly Shitty Appliance.

I know they think it’s something else:

ISA Server is the advanced stateful packet and application-layer inspection firewall, virtual private network (VPN), and Web cache solution that enables enterprise customers to easily maximize existing information technology (IT) investments by improving network security and performance.

But I’m pretty sure it’s an Incredibly Shitty Appliance. I assume by “improving performance” they mean “breaking the web” or something similar. You know you’re in trouble when even the IT guys think it is the suxors…

(Squid Web Proxy Cache anyone?)

no need to be harsh about it… ;-) After all ISA is like any other Microsoft application.. check this and it will do what you want .. or at least what microsoft believes it should do.

Also you have to keep in mind that not all people are Mac and Linux freaks.. and like the blue balls bars of microsoft. next, next, finish. It is an addiction… and a hard addiction to break. Short prediction which I’m sure many have already made.

    By end of 2007:
Microsoft 70% us market / 60% world market
Apple 20% us market / 20% world market
Linux 10% us market / 20% world market

    By end of 2010:
Microsoft 50% us market / 35% world market
Apple 35% us market / 25% world market
Linux 15% us market / 45% world market

Servers are a different story.. but my pillow is sounding pretty good right about now…
    Any bets!! ;-)
