I'm talking your plain old Mac that's a few years old which you've got under the desk doing some dedicated task... Anyway, this will cause it to reboot upon freezing or crashing. (or so I'm told!) There's software that will do it for you, but if you have Macsbug installed, you don't need anything additional. btw: I got this info from a mailing list long ago, so 'thanks' goes out to the original author! With ResEdit, just add a 'mxbm' resource to your Debugger Prefs file in your System Folder as follows (the 'mxbm' template is inside Macsbug, so you may need to open Macsbug itself, too):
