Slave1 has become my next mad-scientist project, like MacKiosk used to be.

I've got it back up and running again, this time with an Apple-branded CD-ROM drive right out of an Apple G3. I've given up all attempts to install Linux for now, and it's running Mac OS 8.6, which was a fine OS in it's day, and should work for now.

The plan is such: I'll be installing a web browser, and iTunes (patched to work on 8.6) and once on the network (need more ethernet cable) it'll be an SLIMP3 receiver.

It could also be used for backups, but with just over 3 gigs of space (after the OS and apps) it doesn't have a whole lot of space for backups. Still, we're open to anything right now...
