StrawMac
This here is a strawberry iMac - one of those 333 Mhz models from early 1999. We got her for cheap at the very end of 1999. Seems we needed a new machine in the house for the child processes, so this fit the bill quite nicely. Slave1 (and the rest of the network once in place) use this machine to connect to that 'internet thing' see, StrawMac runs IPNetRouter, and with it's speedy 56k modem, achieves connections up to 46k that the whole house then shares. It works pretty well. We did up the RAM from the paltry 32mb to 64mb and later 160mb. That was easy. And of course, it looks cool! (that's sarcasm folks...)
