RasterWeb: Misc: Some WeblogThere's a cron job that calls a perl script that pulls one entry from an XML file once a day. So each day you hit the home page there's a new one. This is useful for me because there's a chance I'll follow that link ;) and maybe discover a cool site. It's useful for other because it shares the flow... The XML file comes from WebLogs.com's XML based backend. Download it from here: http://static.userland.com/weblogMonitor/logs.xml This isn't a true XML app, it's just plain old ugly perl code. "Perl, it gets the job done!" right? There's also a cron entry that calls a perl script to update my local copy of the logs.xml file. FOO! [an error occurred while processing this directive] |
