finger
While at work one day I was suffering from a serious lack of sleep. Emma had decided not to sleep this particular week, and it was taking a toll on me...
So whilst making a front panel for an external hard drive case, I cut my finger. Good. Real good. See, I was using an Xacto knife, and a ruler, and some foam core, and I was cutting, and cutting and then suddenly I realizd that the blade went across my fingers. Now this has happened before, ask anyone in art school (well, pre-dtp days) So anyway, I go to the bathroom, cuz there's blood going everywhere, and I wrap it in paper towel. I then tell ax my manager if anyone knows first aid, and she says "You gotta go th the hospital!" Yeah, o.k. - I went. Got some stitches, got my finger wrapped up, all was well...
When I finally got to take the gauze off, or try to take it off, I realized that the gauze was embedded into the stitches (see Fig. 1)

So I took a shower, soaked the finger a bit, and used some tweezers and small sugical scissors to finally rid myself of the dreaded gauze. Leaving me with some bitchin' lookin' stitches! (see Fig. 2) And I'll hopefully have a pretty good scar. I've got scars on like 90% of my fingers (that's 9 fingers, since I have 10 for you non-math whizes)

But the big question, "Would I do it again?" well, probably not, at least I hope not... This one was worse than the hacksaw, but probably not as bad as the bottle, the car door definitely hurt more...
