1ADB Port

Ok, now let's looks at what I need...

Ports on a Macintosh Compatible Computer:
1'Printer' Port
2'Modem' Port
2ADB Port

ADB port: I have (1) keyboard and mouse, (1) pen mouse, and (1) Connectix Color QuickCam. That's three, but luckily the QuickCam had a passthru connector. So while two connectors work, three would be better. Let's hope I don't get a drawing tablet. My IIvx had two ADB ports, my PowerBase 180 has one. I ordered an ADB splitter to solve the problem...

Printer Port: One printer. Ok, this works fine, unless I get an inkjet printer. Then I'm probably in trouble.

Modem Port: The printer and modem ports are of course interchangeable, but since the printer port is now full, we'll complain about the modem port. Let's see, first we have the modem (duh) then we have the QuickCam. For a while I had to manually swap these two, then I ordered a switchbox to solve the problem, but I still can't have both at the same time. How am I supposed to build a webcam when I have to manually throw a switch?

I need more ports! a GeekPort! more ADB ports! Joystick/Paddle Ports! A PS/2 Port! (hey, my PowerBase has one!) If I had my way the ADB I/O would be built in to every machine! My Apple II+ had plenty of ports...
