Since I still know a lot of graphic designers, and Adobe needs to support Mac OS X users, I’ll mention the ATM for OS X campaign…

YDL 2.3 on 8500/180
I finally got Yellow Dog Linux 2.3 loaded on the 8500/180. It wasn’t easy. It took about 20 attempts, and a few mailing list messages, but I’m actually running KDE 3.0 right now, on the cast-off old PowerMac. Slowly, of course… That’s ok. It’s better than nothing. We’ve got much to learn now, yay, excitement looms around the bend.
Whew, expect even more breakage. Our new motto could be RasterWeb, now with more breakage, or something like that. Things might look different. We’re experimenting with titles, and there’s more metadata and other goodness. This is all thanks to our news CMS. It’s home-brewed for that freshy-fresh goodness you can’t get in a canned solution.
There’s a lot more work to be done, but so far about 100 lines of perl and the file system are doing a pretty good job…
