Return of the vCard

You might think that if you used Safari to request a resource, like oh, let’s say a vCard, and that resource was sent with a mime-type of text/x-vcard that maybe the resource would open in Address Book.

You might think that, but you’d probably be wrong…

Whether this is due to text/x-vcard not being an official mime type, and Apple following the rules, or a missed opportunity, I’ll leave that up to you.

I guess we should just be glad Safari doesn’t try to guess the mime-type based on the file extension, like a certain other browser with a big blue ‘e’ on it does…

Besides, I can’t get Address Book to communicate to our LDAP server (though Mozilla does) so I’m going home…

Canoe Time is Coming!

Today there were many boats in the river. Almost all of the boats had two guys in them. Two boats had three guys in them, and one boat had three guys.

Obviously this is a sign…

Yesterday I saw a guy in the river in a canoe. Soon the lake will be melted and I will venture out in my canoe. I’m estimating 3 weeks.

Canoe!

That’s ODD

Ask around and people will tell you that Maddy and I seem to suffer from ODD. If you were to search for info on ODD you’d be surprised that Maddy, at such a young age, already exhibits the behavior, and you’d be surprised that I, at such an older age, exhibit the behavior.

Or maybe we both just like to stick it to the man, and fight the power…

Adam Osborne

I can’t take credit for this one… I heard it on the radio today.

Computer industry pioneer Adam Osborne died at 64. He was really hoping to make it to 128.

Now that’s funny…
