BarCampMilwaukee5: An Intro to Ruby on Rails

This is the “Intro to Ruby on Rails” session from BarCampMilwaukee5 which took place on October 2nd/3rd, 2010 at Bucketworks in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Stephen Anderson of Bendyworks was the presenter for this session. You can find Stephen on Twitter as @bendycode.

Since there was a code demo that went along with this session, I’m not sure how useful this will be for people that missed it… anyway, here it is!

You can also download an MP3 file if you’d like. (And for our freedom loving friends, enjoy an Ogg file.)

Also, if you want to get all of the audio automagically downloaded podcasting style, subscribe to the feed. I’ll add in more BarCamp stuff as I get it all edited and published.

BarCampMadison: The HackerSpace Movement

BarCampMadison This is the “HackerSpace Movement” session from BarCampMadison3 which took place on August 28, 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin.

It’s a long one at about 58 minutes, and I did some noise reduction, which sometimes makes it sound funky. Hey it’s OK, we’re on a budget! It should be listenable, and if you missed the session, this is probably the next best thing.

You can also download an MP3 file if you’d like. (And for our freedom loving friends, enjoy an Ogg file.)

Scrimshaws

scrimshaw
One day while out filming on location our lighting crew was setting up a scrim, and while that was happening the talk of “scrimshaws” came up and I had no idea what a scrimshaw was, but as luck would have it, I was right next to someone knowledgeable on the subject: Pontune. So we captured this quick audio bit which explains scrimshaws.

You can also download an MP3 file if you’d like. (And for our freedom loving friends, enjoy an Ogg file.)

Web414 Here is the audio from the first hour of Web414 for September 2010 (aka The Mystery Show!) Our guest was Michael Massie, creator of the iPhone app Smart Alarm and the guy behind StdyHll and a few other things of interest. We also have most (but not all) of the group intros and at the end I ramble on about evil.

You can also download an MP3 file if you’d like. (And for our freedom loving friends, enjoy an Ogg file.)
